      Collector’s Editions.  In gaming, these are typically labeled as other things such as “Limited Edition” or “Special Edition”, but there’s always one thing they’re synonymous with: Free goodies.  When you pre-order a special edition of a title, you look forward to the content coming alongside the game almost as much as the game itself, whether it be an artbook, an animation cel, a special casing for the game, or even some free, Day 1 DLC to enhance and add to the gaming experience as soon as you receive the game.  In generations past, Special Editions were truly a rare breed, forcing the player to have to pre-order their game months in advance in order to attain any of those extra perks.  However, it seems as if lately, “Limited” editions aren’t so limited and hard to find anymore…

Adult Swim’s April Fools’ of 2012

      As many of you know, April Fools’ Day has come and gone, and there’s always one network that celebrates April Fools’ Day like a national holiday, altering either their entire schedule or their shows for the sake of a single prank.  This network is Adult Swim, known for pranking their viewers through various means during the night, whether it’s playing fart noises over their normally scheduled programming, or replacing their entire night’s schedule with shows such as “Perfect Hair Forever” or even “The Room”.  This year was no exception as Adult Swim went about their normal, pranking ways, opting to change their entire schedule for the night, and it was an interesting break that April Fools landed on a Sunday, signifying that their prank would affect the anime during their usual timeslots.  As Midnight struck, we weren’t met with the premiere of the new Bleach episode, but rather, the opening for the movie, “The Room”, much to the groans of Adult Swim fans everywhere due to the same prank being re-used.  However, a few seconds in to the show, we were met by this:
